Abstract
In May 2022, Singkawang City experienced inflation of 1.04 percent with a Consumer Price Index (CPI) of 110.37.
Inflation occurred due to an increase in prices as indicated by an increase in the index for the eight expenditure groups. The expenditure group that experienced an increase in the index from the highest was the group of food and beverage providers/restaurants by 2.00 percent; food, beverage and tobacco group by 1.90 percent; transportation group by 0.99 percent; recreation, sports, and culture groups by 0.54 percent; household equipment, equipment, and routine maintenance group by 0.49 percent; personal care group by 0.18 percent; clothing and footwear group by 0.17 percent; and the housing, water, electricity, and household fuel groups by 0.14 percent. Meanwhile, the health group, the information, communication, and financial services group, as well as the education group experienced very small index changes so that they did not contribute significantly to inflation.
