Abstract

Inflation that occurred in December 2012 due to an increase in the index of 4 (four) groups of expenditure and a decrease in the index of 3 (three) groups of expenditure. Increased expenditure groups ie group Foodstuffs index was 2.93 percent, the group Housing, Water, Electricity, Gas & Fuel by 0.99 percent, 1.73 percent of the group Clothing, Health group by 0.69 percent. While expenditure group index declines namely the Food, Beverages, Cigarettes and Tobacco at -0.02 percent, the group Education, Recreation and Sports of -0.08 percent and Transport, Communications, and Financial Services at -0.33 percent.
