Abstract

Inflation that occurred in January 2012 due to an increase in the index of 4 (four) groups of expenditure, and a decline in the index of 2 (two) groups of expenditure. Increased expenditure groups ie group index Foodstuffs index rose by 3.09 percent, the group Food, Beverages, Cigarettes and Tobacco by 0.24 percent, the group Housing, Water, Electricity, Gas & Fuel of 0.43 percent , and Health group by 0.46 percent. The group that did not change the index is a group of Education, Recreation and Sports. While the group index declines namely Clothing at -0.03 percent and Transport, Communications, and Financial Services amounted to -0.29 percent.
