Launch of Data Quality Assurance for the 2026 Economic Census

The West Kalimantan Provincial Statistics Agency (BPS) officially launched the Quality Assurance initiative for the 2026 Economic Census (SE2026) at its provincial office on June 15, 2026. This pivotal decennial event was inaugurated by the Regional Secretary of West Kalimantan, Dr. H. Harisson, M.Kes., and attended by the Deputy for Regional Accounts and Statistical Analysis at BPS RI, Moh. Edy Mahmud, S.Si., M.P., along with the Regional Inspector II team from BPS RI, permanent staff from BPS West Kalimantan Province and the BPS offices of Pontianak City and Kubu Raya Regency, as well as field officers. To ensure that the captured snapshot of economic transformation possesses a high level of accuracy and credibility, the launch focused on overseeing the process, marked by the ceremonial pinning of identification badges onto the SE2026 Data Quality Assurance officers. The Head of BPS West Kalimantan Province, Muh. Saichudin, emphasized that the competent officer teams across the regencies and cities have completed intensive training and are ready to oversee field data collection procedures in accordance with established operational standards. In line with this, the Regional Secretary instructed all officers to consistently uphold integrity and professionalism, and to foster good communication with respondents, thereby establishing a robust foundation for regional development planning and evaluation.
