Launch of the 2026 Economic Census at the Nation's Border

On June 13, 2026, the official launch of the 2026 Economic Census (SE2026) was successfully held in Temajuk Village, Paloh District, Sambas Regency—a strategic area situated at the forefront of the national border. This launch event was integrated with the "Gema Membangun Desa 2026" (Village Development Echo 2026) initiative organized by the West Kalimantan Province Community and Village Empowerment Agency. The proceedings began with a joint tree-planting activity, followed by a brief presentation on the SE2026 door-to-door data collection process, delivered personally by the Deputy for National Accounts and Statistical Analysis of BPS-Statistics Indonesia. The highlight of the launch was the symbolic presentation of SE2026 vests and insignia by the Governor of West Kalimantan to representatives of the field officers. Attended by the Deputy Regent of Sambas, regional government officials, village government representatives from across West Kalimantan, border-related agencies, and local residents, this collaborative event underscored the commitment and cross-sector synergy dedicated to ensuring officer readiness to produce an accurate, high-quality economic database.
