In an effort to obtain a more concrete picture of economic disparity between regions in Indonesia, BPS is trusted to compile Inter-Regional Input Output (IRIO) in 2019. IRIO preparation will begin this year. To get a more optimal IRIO calculation result, it is necessary to have good and intense coordination and collaboration with related subject matters.
The IRIO preparation training was held by inviting all Heads of Regional Accounts and Statistical Analysis (Kabid Nerwilis), Head of Production Balance Section, Head of Consumption Balance Sheet Section, and Head of Analysis of BPS Province Cross Sector Statistics throughout Indonesia. Activities opened by Mr. Setianto as Director of the Indonesian BPS Production Balance, also invited representatives of each deputy at BPS.
"For us (BPS-Statistics of Kalimantan Barat Province) preparations have been made since January by establishing product classifications, with additional products and superior industries from Kalimantan Barat Province," said Ir. Martalena, MM, Head of BPS Regional Secretariat of Kalimantan Barat Province in the midst of his activities following IRIO Training, Thursday (28/2) in Batam City.
He also added that in February to March the BPS of Kalimantan Barat Province had also begun scheduling Survey Officers Training, Collection as well as SE 2016 Data Processing, SKIO data, and other supporting data.
The IRIO preparation activities will begin from March to June 2019 with the flow of activities beginning with the preparation of the Supply and Use Table (SUT) then proceeding with the preparation of the Input-Output (IO) Table.
IRIO really helps us in analyzing policies between regions in a particular sector, because it is expected from IRIO to see which sectors are potential and have added value. Also to map patterns of analysis of trade between regions. (rra)
